4th of Jul-EYES

I am a massive fan of "America Theme".  I love the flag, bald eagles, all of it-'Murica is my jam.  I love any excuse to crack out my not one but two pair of American Flag Havaianas flip flops and to choose between which eagle tee to wear...the 4th is one of my favorite holidays.  However, I would like to post a disclaimer to my patriotism.  This year is the first year that I've gotten dirty looks for wearing anything patriotic.  People question my purchase when I buy something representing the country.  They ask why?  I am surrounded by diversity, and I feel that people immediately associate sporting the flag with someone who supports the current government.  I was once told that I was a direct descendent of a couple presidents (by someone untrustworthy, but I wouldn't be surprised) and have traced my Underwood lineage back to the 1300's.  We were here in America well before the Mayflower, so I would consider that pretty darn American.  I am proud of this country for what it was supposed to be, and our current administration can't take that pride from me-I love the 4th!  Onto the makeup tutorial!

For the 4th of Jul-Eyes look, I prepped my skin using the finest of skin care, then applied Tom Ford Illuminating Primer.  Then using a complexion brush I applied Tom Ford Waterproof Concealer and Foundation shade 6.5 Sable all over my face.  I then set the foundation with MAC Studio Fix Plus Powder Foundation in NC30.  I used Fake Bake Bronzer to contour and Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer in Natural on my under eye area, bridge of nose, forehead, Cupid's bow and top of chin.  I then blended all with a beauty blender and then applied Charlotte Tilbury's Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blush in First Love on my cheeks.  I finished off the face look with Hourglass Veil Translucent Powder using a large powder brush.

For the Eyes:  I applied Smashbox 24-Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer on the base of my eyes, then used Chantecaille Shine Eye Shade in Perle all over my lids from lash line to brow bone.  I also used this shade as a highlight on my cheeks, nose, Cupid's bow, and chin.  I then used the brush inside of the Anastasia Beverly Hill's Modern Renaissance palette to apply KKW Beauty's shade Libra from the KKWxMario Palette.  I very gently applied this shade to the outer corner of my eyes blending inward.  I then took Venetian Red from the ABH palette and blended the center of my lid, careful to not make purple.  I had to go over multiple times with the blue and red for the right effect.  The blue left powder all over my face makeup and had pretty bad fall out, so be warned.  Once it looked adequate to me, I applied more Perle to the inner corners.  I then used Smashbox Always Sharp Kohl Liner on upper and lower lash line and then used the same eye shadow effect blurring in the black eye liner.  I then used Chanel's Le Volume mascara, filled in my brows, put on my lashes, and took those selfies.  Have an amazing Fourth of July!!!
