Haircut

I wasn't feeling my last hairstyle, so I attempted the lob again-lob is short for "long bob".  For some reason I never like being shorter than "long", but considering I have had the same look for over three years all I've done is switch between 18 inch blonde and 22 inch blonde.  Does anyone else crave a major appearance change around the fall?

I will most likely go even shorter soon, but for now, I am feeling this style.  I took my shorter extensions from like 2 weeks ago and got a level 4 brown demi permanent hair color (this one was Kenra Demi Permanent 4B) and an ash blonde toner (Kenra Demi Permanent 9VM) and darkened the "roots" of the extensions.  To do this, I laid the pieces of hair on a towel and then "painted" the parts I wanted with the appropriate colors.  I went down further than I usually do with the brown to leave the blonde more towards the ends of the hair (ombre).  I toned the blonde pieces with the violet toner and left the hair to process for like 20 mins.  I used the Kenra Volume 10 developer.

To rinse, I used Oribe Bright Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner for Beautiful Color.  I let the conditioner sit on it for about 3 minutes.  I then took off my other hair extensions (gently peeling the glued hair from my actual [non-existant] hair) and applied the violet toner all over.  I let it process for about 20 minutes and then rinsed using the Paul Mitchell Wild Ginger Awapuhi Moisturizing Lather shampoo and Intensive Treatment.  The Treatment lets the glue comb right out of the hair.  I then dried and straightened both my hair and the fake hair.  I used a flat iron with silicone strips-they are the best for stick straight hair.

Then I applied the hair where I desired, I have kind of a pattern I use, but this time I didn't have to use nearly as much because I actually cut my real hair to blend in.  To cut, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS, but I pulled my hair in a low, loose ponytail (after watching about 3 YouTubes) and cut the ends.  This created the hair in front to be longer and gave the haircut an asymmetrical vibe.  I had to fix the mistakes from the ponytail chop and then razor cut the ends to make it all blend.  And that's that!  The curled hair photos were done by using a different flatiron that also curls-this one was the Sultra Seductress flat iron.  On the face, I used less makeup and no eyeliner or lashes.
