NORVINA

NORVINA

I'm always down for a good Anastasia Beverly Hills palette and Norvina did NOT disappoint.  I was lacking in the purple eyeshadow department and I am not one to just buy a palette for the name.  I have to look at the shades of colors within the palette to determine if it is worth buying for my skin tone or not.

For example, I need warmer shades.  Norvina has pinks, purples, bronzes, and neutrals that am motivated by.  For this particular look, I started off with a great skin care routine followed by the TOM FORD Illuminating Primer.  I applied that using my fingers and then follow up with my foundation.  Today I used TOM FORD Waterproof Concealer Foundation in shade 7.0 Tawny (I got darker during Training Camp).  I then set the foundation with MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation in shade NC30 and then applied my bronzer to the contours of my face.  The bronzer used for this look was Fake Bake Beauty Bronzer.  I applied just under my cheekbones, my jawline (under it, not on it) and the outer perimeter of my face.  I NEVER put bronzer on my t-zone.  I see many makeup artists do this and I feel in counteracts any highlighting that is intended. For concealer under my eyes I used Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in shade Custard and for my nose I used Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer in shade Pearl.

For blush I used Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher starting at the hairline and lightly blushing the top of my cheekbone over the bronzer.  For highlight, I used the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette in shade Incandescent Light on the bridge of my nose and cheekbones. I then started with the eyes...

For starters, I used Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer.  Then I used the Norvina palette in shade Base all over my lid from lash line to brow line.  In the outer corners and crease of my eyes, I used shade Soul.  I dabbed a little bit of Celestial on the outer lower lid blending inward and then put a very light dusting of Wild Child over the Celestial.  I then blended it all in with Dreamer and then lined on the top lashes with Mac Pro Longwear Eye Liner in Definedly Black and then blended the black liner with shade Drama (I don't like a defined eye liner on myself).  For lashes I coated them with MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara and applied my two pairs of Ardell Demi Wispies.  For brows I used Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil in shade 3.

For the finishing touch added a touch more blush (this time TOM FORD Cheek Color in shade Wicked) and then I dusted Hourglass Veil Translucent Powder over the whole look and then went on to my hair.  I curled it with a one inch curling iron (Hot Tools).

Lip color is just the MAC Cosmetics Lip Liner in shade Edge to Edge.
