PMD Kiss, CandyLipz, Too Faced Lip Injection, Juvederm, or Botox Lip Flip-What to Choose?
In my video I explain that I have tried it all to get the Real Housewives duck lip vibe. As I get older (only 2 months left of my 30’s-no. I am turning 30-10), the lower half of my face is drooping. I have yet to venture beyond the ‘tox (besides the one time Juvederming) into facial fillers (I am sure it’s coming-don’t fret) and am trying to keep the youth; obviously, lips are all the rage. If you are like me and are constantly sucking on a straw or maybe you smoke, you have some changes in the mouth area or will when you get to be my age.
First, as I wrote about before, in December I got one syringe of filler in my lips. IT HURT SO BAD. It is a giant needle threaded through your upper lip then lower lip and then PINCHED to squeeze the filler into the lips. It didn’t last on me very long-probably because I was constantly trying to deflate them….I would say mine lasted about 6 months. See the photo here:
As I noticed them wearing down, I decided to look into other options. I kept seeing the marketing at Sephora and Ulta for the Too Faced Lip Injection Maximum Plump Extra Strength Lip Plumper and caved. It burns for a bit, obviously-but has the beautiful aurora borealis color to it that I love. When wearing it-I see the lines/folds in my lips plump up and my lips definitely get fuller. This is what I am wearing today along with Mac Whirl Lip Liner in this photo and the video below.
One day while getting my Botox topped off, we had a couple of extra units left and my tech asked if I wanted to try the “Lip Flip”-um, what? Why haven’t I heard of this before now and I why didn’t we do it the entire time-of course I want it. See video for explanation-this will be forever done from here on out. Recommend 10 out of 10. It makes your smile stay down and-I hate to compare or explain using another person, but think of Jessica Biel or Julia Robert’s smiles-it gives more of that look to the upper lip when you smile. I got the flip first done I think this summer (2021) so look at my gram to compare.
Then when watching Vanderpump Rules, one of the girls said she used a lip plumper thing that blew up her lips-I Googled this and found both CandyLipz and the PMD Kiss option. I bought all. With CandyLipz, they have four options. Two sizes and two lower lip options; one with a line through it to create more of a pouty look and the other just normal. CandyLipz are the cheapest option besides the lip gloss on this review. They are the most dangerous, though….I followed the instructions but sucked a little too hard and had the WORST bruising on my entire mouth for a good week. Good thing I can do makeup well! Once I got the hang of it, I actually like the CandyLipz. I can’t use the apple shaped ones because I guess I have large lips? They wont fit in them. I like the black one-it has the line in the middle of the lower lip. Just don’t suck too hard and you won’t have a week long mouth hickey!
PMD Kiss is probably the best and safest option of all of these. As I explain in the video, it’s a little machine that sucks tiny hickeys onto the lips creating plumping wherever you apply it. It sucks and then unsucks and then utters along as you move across your lips. NO BRUISING! I can feel the effects days after, even if I forget to use it. This is my biggest recommendation if you aren’t ready to take the plunge with needles and the photos above scarred you. With all of these, consistency is key. The more you use it, the more your lips get used to it.
I hope this video/review helps you get the most out of your lips. You are beautiful already, but if you are feeling the need to plump it up-here’s some tips.
