Plastic Surgery (Injectables) Review

A day late, I trolled my Insta and Facebook stories with an April Fool’s joke. I was enlighten by the filter “Pillow Talk” on the ‘Gram and immediately cried laughing. I looked like the famous Catwoman…

Because of many friend’s and follower’s reactions, I felt compelled to tell you the maintenance I receive that is not God’s gift from my genes.

I think the first time I tried Botox, I was in my mid-twenties (I am almost 40 now). I didn’t need it at all, but I was fresh into the Miss America scene and I felt like it would make all the difference in the world or something…. I did like the way the results shaped my eyes and eyebrows, but I was extremely poor and had no business spending that money on my face.

When I managed a day spa years later, I did Botox again. I wanted my face to be less readable (you can tell what I am thinking from the expression on my face most of the time-thank God for masks!) to my staff, and I missed the way my eyebrows looked with the Tox.

When I worked at the mall, we had a Botox place in it. I worked in the beauty department for Nordstrom and then the Flagship Tesla location and got a mall employee discount, so I started toxing regularly.

When I switched locations at work, I decided to go back to one of the placed I used to go to that was way cheaper than the mall; I liked their results better, too. With the savings in cost, I decided to take the plunge into duck lipville.

In December of 2020, I got one syringe of Juvederm in my lips and it was the most excruciating pain I have ever felt; had I known, I probably would not have gone through with it. I looked full Beverly Hills Housewife for a good week as they settled. Again, thank God for masks during this transition!

The technique that was used on me was take a GIANT needle and going from one side of the lip to the other, threading through and then the tech pinching the solution into your lips-it’s agony. The worst.

That’s the most I have done. I use Botox in my forehead, eyebrows, each side of my chin where my lips curl down (I have no idea what muscles they are), and under my eyes on my cheeks. I have done my jaw before as well. As I have gotten older, I need more than I did in the beginning. I think I use about 60 units every two months or so. I work out hard each morning and use Advocare Catalyst, so I think I burn the toxin out quicker than I should. I don’t think I look so bad!

Anyways, after the fan reaction to the photo, I will probably knock off any major alterations to my face. Due to my constant yo-yo weight gain and loss in the past, I would like to give myself the abs I always dream of, but I am still deciding if I want to have a kid or not. TMI

The End
