Motivation
Something that I think is extremely important in life is dedicating time during the day to further your personal and spiritual growth. For me, I have a first generation iPad that still works. I use it to play YouTube videos of various motivational speakers to listen to while I do my glam session. Depending on if I start from scratch or just retouch for the day, this enables me to listen to various lessons by extremely inspiring teachers.
I started doing this about a year ago-I started with listening to The Secret multiple times. Then I upgraded to the Oprah Winfrey show episodes about The Secret. Then I found some speeches given at a place called A-Fest or Awesomeness Fest by the teachers featured on The Secret. Now, I have found the two speakers who have been the most benificial to me, and those people are Les Brown and Tony Robbins. There are countless videos on YouTube of them speaking and teaching me various ways to control my mind and ways I respond to circumstances in life.
I try to only speak positively. When I was young, I was probably the most negative person you could have ever been around. Being a child of abandonment and divorce, I didn't see much good in the world. I only focused on what was happening to me, not what I could do about it. I played the victim card hard. I was young and now, looking back, realize that all those negative, pessimistic thoughts led me to negative and pessimistic experiences (like living in a homeless shelter).
I owe a great deal of gratitude to Oprah, Tony, and Les and the various authors/motivators that contributed to The Secret. I highly recommend you find what works for you to enable a more positive mindset. The second you can control what you focus on, the second your world will change and open doors for you that you could never imagine.
