BROUGHT THE WEAVE BACK

BROUGHT THE WEAVE BACK

Who else is finally coming out of hibernation and has had enough with the depression?

Me. I wasn’t feeling great about myself and realized that although my new minimalist look was “more authentic” when it actually wasn’t. The last few months have really let me learn who I AM, not just what I think people think I am.

I’m extra. I didn’t go to beauty school for no reason, so accepting that full Kardashian glam on a daily basis is how I enjoy presenting myself to the world. I have the talent to do it and it doesn’t take that long, so why not? I feel better.

With this weave I went back to the olden days of getting a weft from Sally’s-it’s not great, but it works and I can replace it more frequently. Since I had been toning my hair with a level 3 since I took the blonde away, I had to decide between buying dark brown hair like my clip ins and natural color, or buy a dark blonde and balayombre the brown into it….that was the choice I decided upon.

I bought Satin Strands “Barcelona” and used Keune 4N (because I had it on hand) and Kenra volume 10 developer with a smidge of 30v in there (I’m out of 20v). For all you non pros, in hair color, level one or zero is black and 10, 11, 12 is blonde. The color wheel is levels 1-10. The developer is the peroxide mix that the higher the number, the higher the chemical. For blonde I use bleach and 40v (I walk on the fried side) and for brown I use 10 volume.

Go back and read the post Transformation Tuesday 2-The Weave Process for a more detailed explanation about how I put these bad boys on my head.
