Why I Decided to Glam Again

Why I Decided to Glam Again

Sometimes I have to put my foot in my own mouth. I wrote about deactivating Facebook and Instagram knowing full well I would come back. Like Chris Brown, I post and delete.

I miss glam. I decided to go all natural when the pandemic was at it’s peak fearness. It was time to leave the daily full glam behind and let the decades of hair extension abuse have time to heal. I have been using a hair regrowth system that I can’t wait to write about and am having great success with it.

However, I work in the public eye. I am also still grieving. Before she died, my grandma made negative comments about my blonde hair, so I went back to my natural dark hair in honor of her. One thing her partial royal British lineage gave me was extremely thin hair. I became a master of disguise about 20 years ago and taught myself how to hide it. Modern technology made this much easier.

Therefore, this morning, I went and bought clip in extensions in my natural hair color. Ever since my extremely dramatic appearance change and ‘Rona, I haven’t felt right. I decided to do a full glam session on my face for the first time since February. I realized that the Tom Ford foundation that I am using is in no way the same color as my skin. I’ve lost enough weight that contouring my cheekbones is making me look gaunt. I feel kind of like a clown. For this, I am grateful because now I am tasked with achieving balance on my face and can’t wait to come up with different looks every day. Would you like me to start a YouTube channel of tutorials?

I didn't feel right without my crown of fake hair. I tried au naturale and it didn’t do much for my self esteem, but worked for a global pandemic while working from home and out of the public eye. I don’t even recognize myself with this dark brown hair, but I feel better. Sometimes it is okay to enhance your natural features. Sometimes you need a break. I change all the time and I am extremely grateful to God for the talent I have been given. I have big plans for this site so I hope you stay tuned!
